Only three years after launching the company And1 became the official outfitter of Stephon Marbury, their first NBA player. The ultimate breakthrough came in 1999 with the release of the first And1 mixtape, which showed streetball legend Rafer „Skip to my Lou“ Alston doing unprecedented, spectacular streetball moves.
