New Era
New Era is an established hat-brand, which although rooted in sports is worn more and more in today’s hiphop scene. It was founded in 1920 by the German brothers Erhardt and Christopher Koch in New York. When the popularity of Baseball grew fast in the US of the 1930s, New Era produced its first basecaps. Since 1993 the company has been the official supplier of the North American professionell baseball league MLB. The legendary 59fifty cap, which first came out in 1954, is not only the onfield cap of all MLB teams, but has also grown into a characteristic of urban lifestyle.
