the brand hummel stands like hardly another one for authentic retro style and has established in the streetwear and sportsfashion. the history of the company begins already in 1923, when the first football shoes were produced in the danish city arhus. during world war 2 these facilities were destroyed nearly completely. 1956 the firm was sold and changed the location of production to southern germany. from now on not only shoes for football players were released, but also for handball players. meanwhile hummel concentrates nearly completely on handball and is the official supplier of many teams from the european top leagues and even national teams.
hummel – streetstyle in retro optichummel shoes and sportswear are not only worn in gyms, but are also popular on the streets. the sneakers with the characteristic stripes are mostly designed in clear retro optic. hummel produces its shoes from high-cut to low-cut and in a lot of different colors. beneath classic colorways like black and white there are also some gaudy ones like green or blue. a further characteristic of the shoes is the handball player that is placed on the tongue of most sneakers by hummel. |
