Reebok
Reebok is one of the oldest companies in the sporting goods industry and until today it stands for continual innovations. In 1895 the firm was founded as the family business J.W. Fosters and Sons in Great Britain. The company was first and foremost successful with the development of running shoes. In 1958 two grandsons of Foster renamed the company to Reebok. It''s global popularity however began only in 1982, when the first women''s aerobic shoe called Freestyle emerged. Because of a mishap at the factory the shoe was made of glove leather, which back then was a revolution on the sneaker-market. More bestsellers like the pump models made Reebok a global player and a household name. Since 2006 Reebok affiliates to adidas inc.
