Stussy
stüssy started out as the signature wear of shawn stüssy. this surfer began building his own boards at the age of 13 and tagged them all with his signature. what began as a hobby, became his job later on. in 1979, he became self-employed and opened his own surfboard store. to promote this store, he produced t-shirts with the stüssy logo on the chest, which became more and more popular, so he soon added hoodies and caps to his collection. today stüssy has focused solely on fashion, while drawing inspiration for designs still from surfing obviously, but one can also see the influence of skateboarding and the hiphop culture.
