Inspired by back-in-the-days skatesneaker design: navy/black/neon red VANS EDGEMONT. As the first company Vans produced shoes specially made for skateboarding. They had a higher bootleg to protect the ankle. They were more durable to stand the stress of the griptape. And still Vans is one of the worlds most successful skate companies. A pretty good reason for that is the retro-style and performance combining Vans Edgemont. The Edgemonts design supports your feet and adds stability. The suede upper has reinforced spots for more durability and is water resistant. Tough shocks are absorbed by the EVA-midsole and the vulcanised running sole.

In 1966 Jim van Doren, Gordy Lee and Serge D''Elia founded the Van Doren Rubber Company. In a shop next to the factory they sold the Hi-Top (also Sk8-Hi). It was the first sneaker which was made specifically for skateboarding. Ten years later they rolled out the Hi-Top in two colors (red-blue) for the first time. The shoe was designed by skateboard-legends Stacy Peralta and Tony Alva. Since then the rise of Vans was unstoppable. To this day Vans are not only an integral part of the skateboarding-scene. A lot of bands like Bad Religion or The Hives are also crazy about Vans.
