K1X and Alpha Industries drop the bomb! After a very successful first collaboration last year they now come back for more. 2014 saw the re-interpretation of the legendary Alpha Industries Polar Jacket by K1X. The new take on the premium winter jacket sold out quickly. This time around the US military supplier and the basketball brand from Germany chose their respective signature styles for the second installment of their collaboration known as the O.D. Pack: the iconic MA-1 jacket and the basketball shoe Anti-Gravity.
The MA-1 is THE jacket in military flight history. Chuck Yeager wore it when he took the sound barrier. This version of the MA-1 is manufactured with Alpha’s iconic flight nylon fabric and comes in their signature color sage green. Details include detachable velcro patches with “Offense/Defense” script, a “Nation of Hoop” flag on the arm, a co-branded woven label and a remixed version of the “Remove before flight” tag. The slim cut bomber jacket comes with the signature orange lining and is available from November 21st in very limited quantities.
The second part of the O.D. Pack double header arrives in the form of K1X’ performance basketball shoe Anti-Gravity. The sneaker also comes with a full flight nylon upper. Details include 3 stars on the lateral side and the Alpha Industries logo on the inside of the foot. The shoe has a monochrome sage green colorway except for the detachable velcro patch on the tongue. Like the MA-1 the Anti-Gravity is available in limited quantities only, so you better be quick when it drops on Saturday, November 21st! You can check out all the tech specs in the info graphic below.
