New K1X Anti-Gravity Line-up for Spring/Summer 16

For Spring/Summer 2016 Munich-based basketball and streetwear brand K1X introduces an updated line-up of their signature performance basketball shoe Anti-Gravity. A multitude of new color options leaves nothing to be desired. Essentially, the new colorways can be broken down into 3 distinct packs.

Olympic Pack

The Olympic Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro will undoubtedly be one of this year’s highlights when it comes to basketball and sports in general. What would be more fitting than to clad the AG in shiny gold and silver? The updated version also features a mesh tongue for added breathability.

Purple Oil

The brand-new “Purple Oil Pack” is sure to drop some jaws. This color option is available for the AG as well as the low-top version Paradoxum. Both styles feature a shimmering purple-greenish upper that changes color depending on how the light is cast upon it. It reminds us a little bit of the “Hologram” Foamposites while maintaining its own individual style.

Monochrome colorways with nylon and PU upper

To complete the line-up K1X presents a number of never seen before colorways. But it’s not only the colors that are new. The X-Red and Petrol options feature a nylon upper which is similar to the one used on the Alpha Industries collaboration from last year. The Rose and Cranberry kicks come with the tried and trusted PU upper.

About the author

Martin joined KICKZ in 2013, the year of its 20th anniversary. Starting out on a small side job he’s been sucked deeper and deeper into the Kickz.com universe ever since. Also known as “Doc Martin” or “The Professor”, he’s a real smartass who drives his colleagues nuts on a regular basis. His wisdom is as magnificent as his beard, which makes James Harden look like an infant. And he’s also very humble.
Surprisingly, his favorite basketball player is not Dr. J but Penny Hardaway. Likewise, his favorite team of all time is the 1994-95 Orlando Magic squad who beat the Bulls in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. When it comes to sneakers, it’s retro runners all the way. New Balance, Adidas, Puma, Asics … you name it. It’s safe to assume that there’s a connection between his love for 90s shoes and 90s basketball.
