Today marks the start of the 2022 WNBA season. And with it, we want to take the opportunity to celebrate women’s basketball ⛹️‍♀️🏀

It's well known that women’s basketball has been placed in the shadows of its male-run counterpart.

To even out the discrepancy we have to do our best to give lady ballers the representation they deserve - showing love to those that put in great amounts of effort and passion into their craft.

Everyone has a NBA Top 5 list. But a lot of basketball fans can't even name a single WNBA player. Let's change that - these are our favorite WNBA ballers for the upcoming 2022 season.

5. Sylvia Fowles, Minnesota Lynx

Center | 6’6 | 2021 Stats: 16.0 PPG / 10.1 RPG / 2.1 BLK

At 35 years old, Sylvia Fowles is still going strong, putting up 16 points on 64% from the field last season. She’s a 7x All-Star and she actually won her first MVP at 31. You can’t count her out just yet.

4. Jewell Loyd, Seattle Storm

Guard  | 5’10 | 2021 Stats: 17.9 PPG /  3.8 APG / 1.5 STL

Loyd is one of the best scorers in the league. And one has to think that her numbers would be even more impressive if she wasn’t playing next to one of the other best players in the league... [NO SPOILERS]

3. A’ja Wilson, Las Vegas Aces

Forward | 6’4 | 2021 Stats: 18.3 PPG /  9.3 RPG / 1.3 BPG

A’ja Wilson has been phenomenal since her rookie season in 2018. In just her third season she was able to snatch away the MVP. And we wouldn’t be surprised if she did it again this year.

2. Jonquel Jones, Connecticut Sun

Forward | 6’6 | 2021 Stats: 19.4 PPG / 11.2 RPG / 1.3 BLK

The reigning MVP is ready to show that she is forreal! It sure looked like it with her record-breaking performance at the World Cup Qualifiers earlier this year.

1. Breanna Stewart, Seattle Storm

Forward | 6’4 | 2021 Stats: 20.3 PPG / 9.6 RPG / 1.8 BLK

Probably the best player in the game today, Stewart is an MVP and 2x Finals MVP. She’s only been in the game for 5 seasons, but she’s already pushing the GOATs for their spots.

Honorable Mentions: Skylar Diggins-Smith, Courtney Vandersloot, Candace Parker, Tina Charles, Brittney Griner

Looking good and playing good go hand-in-hand. If you’re a female baller we’ve got you covered - check out our selection of women’s basketball performance apparel and gear.
