Who would have thought that Pharrell Williams and his partner Nigo (founder of BAPE) make some extra money as ice-cream vendors? Well, they don't need a van for this but still make the kids freak out with their supersweet fashion brand ICECREAM. Besides Billionaire Boys Club, it's their second collaboration. Founded in 2005 the development of both brands started slowly due to disputes between Pharell and Reebok regarding the release of the Icecream sneaker line. The harder the start the bigger the appeal of the brand when it was finally launched at the very end of 2005.
ICE CREAM – sweet, cool and highly limited
ICE Cream uses colourful prints, elements of Japanese cartoons and keeps the sweetness with some ice cream themes. The characters „Cone“ and „Running dog“ are stiring up the design and function as distinctive features of the fashion label. Icecream is not for everyone. The products are produced in very low quantities and the retailers are hand-picked. As a consequence you can inaugurate your new piece of clothing without somebody stealing your show. What a cream topping!
