Swiss brothers Art and Ernie Brunner founded K-Swiss in Los Angeles in 1966. As passionate tennis players they designed a leather shoe especially for the white sport and called it „Classic“. With its light accentuated five stripes and the shield logo these shoes not only established themselves on the tennis court but also became a part of urban lifestyle. Until today the Classic is one of the most popular K-Swiss sneakers ever. In the following years the two Swiss created further tennis and lifestyle shoes. Meanwhile the five stripes have developed into a trademark and are integrated in every K-Swiss sneaker.
