Since 2007, the premium headgear brand Official Crown of Laurel mixes up the streetwear scene with some special designs for your head. It was founded in Sacramento by Jason Maggio and is still situated there. Because of the small size of the company and the local production Official was able to react very quickly to upcoming new trends. Launching new styles every two to three weeks was pretty normal. As the product range changed very quickly, the caps and hats gained value for collectors. Like many other companies Official took a big hit during the financial crisis in 2008. For 3 years Jason Maggio had to run the company from his home, storing the caps in his garage.

Official headgear – the cherry on the cake of style

But emphasis on quality and creativity pays off. The youthful brand recovered and now calls a 280 m² warehouse in Sacramento its own. The headgear graces the heads of celebrities like Lil' Wayne, Brian Anderson, Matt Miller and A-Trak. But not only celebrities want to be connected with Official Crown of Laurel. The brand collaborated with DC Shoes Europe, Ben G Amsterdam, Eastpack Europe and many others. Even pro skater Stefan Janoski – known for his signature shoe model „Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski“ - teams up with Official. Together they created a signature beanie collection made of 100% llama yarn. Official regards its headwear as a crown, a statement, an exclamation point and sometimes a simple compliment to bigger and bolder things.
