Anyone who knows anything about basketball, hip hop and fashion recognizes the 90s as probably the most important decade ever. As KICKZ is closing in on its 30th anniversary we take a long nostalgic look back to pay homage to the age of prime MJ, baggy pants and East Coast vs West Coast gangsta rap.

Introducing the KICKZ 93 Vintage Store! Located deep in the heart of Munich between two of the city's most popular landmarks of Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt this store is unlike any other we have ever opened. This one is for all the OG KICKZ loyalists out there, who always longed for a community hub and a place to reminisce and walk down memory lane. We see you, we heard you. This is for the culture, this is for you!

For three months we sourced our parents' basements, co-worker's garages, collectors all over the world, eBay USA, vintage fairs, flea markets and our own KICKZ & K1X archives for memorabilia, art, rare streetwear pieces and vintage sneakers to fill this store to the brim.

We also searched the KICKZ warehouse, scavenging through old returned items from our customers for products that have often only been used once. Little defects here, a smudge of dirt there, but still in great condition. Rather than throwing these out we gave these items a new life by displaying them proudly in our vintage store, selling them for roughly half the original retail price. Thereby effectively extending the product's life cycle and maximizing its use while also increasing sustainability.

Swing by to shoot some hoops, watch old NBA tapes (on VHS of course), have a coffee or Red Bull (don't worry those are fresh not 90s leftovers), read some old FIVE magazines, have a chat with our staff and of course browse through our handpicked selection of vintage grails.

The experience of vintage shopping and "grail hunting" is at the forefront of the modern-day consumer's mindset. The joy of browsing without knowing what treasures you will find, discovering unique pieces that are hard to find or re-connecting on an emotional level with items you used to own but have long been lost. This is what you get, when you enter our KICKZ 93 Vintage Store. It's a museum for vintage basketball and hip hop stuff, but unlike any other museum we allow you to touch!

We did not open this store to make huge amounts of cash or add a vintage dimension to the reselling game. This store is a place to experience 90s basketball culture, show consumers what KICKZ stands for and have the opportunity to hold historic products in your hand.

In the near future we will seek to expand our concept to a true "vintage exchange" where consumers may bring, trade & sell their own treasures with us. So keep your eyes peeled!
