2002 was the birth date of Nike Skateboarding. The Nike SB Dunk Low model was the first of many skate kicks being released. But what Nike SB had to experience, was the same that anybody does when starting to skate. Every beginning is difficult but with enough effort anything is doable. After low sells of the Dunks and four other models, the skate brand did not even think about leaving the skateboard scene. Nike SB attained their first success by signing Paul Rodriguez, one of the most influential skaters on the planet. The relationship was enhanced by launching his own pro model shoe, named the Nike SB P-Rod. Finally Nike SB was able to gain the recognition of the skate scene.
Nike skateboarding – fail, learn, succeed!
During the next years Nike SB released a variety of skate videos including several special guests and expanded their team by names as Eric Koston, Stefan Janoski, Lance Mountain, Brian Anderson, Omar Salazar and many more. Signature shoes as well as remodeled classics like the Nike Blazers were created and Nike SB still keeps designing some of the best skate kicks on the market. Nowadays the subsidiary firm of Nike is considered as one of the big players on the market and is no more a beginner but a pro in regards to skateboarding.
