What do Bonnie and Clyde and PUMA have in common? Well, being totally honest – nothing. But if you think around the corner, you might remember a certain story that clears everything up. When then-rookie Walt Frazier didn't have the best of seasons with the New York Knicks, he had to ease up eventually. Always known for his fashion sense and elegance, he decided to take a walk in Baltimore on one of many away trips. All of a sudden he noticed a fedora – a brown fedora by Borsalino. Of course, he didn't hesitate and bought it straight away. His teammates – of course – laughed at the first year player out of Illinois University at first. It was a fortunate coincidence, that at the same time, 'Bonnie & Clyde' was the movie to see. Due to both Clyde Barrow and Walt Frazier wearing that fedora, the striking assemblance could not be unseen anymore. As soon as everybody took notice, Walt was named after the infamous criminal. Therefore he got his nickname, 'Clyde'. Little did anybody know, how iconic and influential this all would be. The man would become a two time champion, a Finals-MVP, a seven time All-NBA and All-Defensive player. And the undisputed fashion icon of his time in the league. You could say, that he passed the torch to Michael Jordan in some way. Around 40 years after the fedora incident took place, Puma proudly present the PUMA CLYDE OG FLAG! The classic silhouette, high-quality suede upper and white outsole remain the same – staying true to their Puma roots respectively. To set a memorable statement, loud and vivid colors are the pivotal element of the latest collection. Even though the jazzy colorways don't really match the retistant silhouette, they definitely top off the final good and live up to Walt's expectations and his infamous, given name. And of course – his fedora approves.
