On May 20th, 1873, the wholesaler Levi Strauss and tailor Jacob David received a patent from the US Patent and Trademark Office. This was the birth of the original Levi jeans. What would come to dominate street style with Levi jeans across the whole world, started with a small shop in San Francisco:the first jeans were sold to the workers of the West in 19th century USA. From that point onwards cowboys, lumberjacks and railroad workers could be seen wearing their Levi’s to work every day. Looking at today’s Levi jeans you can still clearly see the origins of the design.
Time after time new designs and products Although it has been copied thousands of times, Levi's is the true original. Cuts like the 501 are so legendary they are worn from one generation to the next.
