Sportswear for women @KICKZ
Women’s sportswear should fulfil two goals; the first is that it should perform a purpose; it should be flexible, lightweight, it should breath and it should keep you warm in the cold and cool in the heat. The second purpose is that it should look good. KICKZ has you covered on both counts.
During the 1970s, students on college campuses in North America embraced the idea of wearing sporting clothes and accessories like boating shoes, trainers and backpacks; but women’s sportswear as we know it started in the 90s when people began looking for close fitting look. The fact is that women’s sportswear doesn’t just have to be confined to the gym, it’s now firmly an accepted piece of weekend fashionwear.
Women’s sportswear has been growing in popularity over the last few years and it’s now more of its own fashion category than ever before. An increasing amount of quality women’s sportswear is now on the market from the likes of Nike and Adidas but smaller brands like K1X are still making their mark. The thinning of the line between women’s sportswear and streetwear has meant that these brands have started producing braver, more out-there designs reminiscent of the 1980s and 90s.
