Somewhere in Braunschweig, on a concrete court, a young athlete is mastering crossovers, step-backs, and drives to the rim—over and over again. There’s no crowd, no hype—just rhythm and sweat. Watching from the sidelines, arms crossed, is none other than Dennis Schröder. 

The 31-year old Braunschweig-native who is entering his 13th year in the NBA is returning to California next season as the new point guard of the Sacramento Kings, immediately boosting the playoff chances of a young up-and-coming team that has desperately been looking for a veteran leader.

But even before the 2025 / 2026 NBA season kicks off, Dennis has a busy summer ahead of him. As the prestigious FIBA EuroBasket tournament (Aug 27 - Sept 14) is closing in and 24 teams are fighting to determine the next European Champion, Dennis has only a few days left until training camp starts. With a roster filled with multiple NBA players, reigning FIBA World Champion Germany – led by their team captain Dennis Schröder – is among the favorites to win it all.

But today Dennis is back in his hometown not as a basketball star, but as a mentor. He understands what it means to start with nothing but a dream. 

The kid he's been watching is giving it his all, but then stops. He lays down on the ground, gazes up at the sky, and practices his follow-through, catching his breath. Suddenly, he begins to daydream. 

Flash. Picture him crossing up opponents as a teenager in Braunschweig. 

Flash. He’s slicing through NBA defenses. 

Flash. He’s a World Champion. 

Then, just like that, the moment fades away, and he’s back in Braunschweig, back to the grind. 

Dennis walks over and helps the kid up. “Let’s get back to work.”

Nitro SQD, net als andere Nitro-schuimen van PUMA, maakt gebruik van stikstofgas dat in het schuim wordt geïnjecteerd om een lichtere, responsievere tussenzool te creëren, terwijl SQD verwijst naar het ontwerp met dubbele dichtheid. Dit betekent dat het schuim niet slechts uit één type materiaal bestaat, maar een binnenlaag heeft die zorgt voor een comfortabel en gedempt gevoel, terwijl de buitenlaag een meer responsief en ondersteunend platform biedt voor snelle bewegingen en richtingsveranderingen.
