KICKZ VINTAGE STORE: From Heritage to Legacy

When we opened the doors to our vintage store, it wasn’t about making huge amounts of cash. We didn’t want to build just another store. The vintage store is a hang-out. A place where real ballers can live and breathe basketball. A place to meet like-minded hoopers and to find new 1-on-1 partners. Our vision was to foster a basketball community.

A place where real ballers can live and breathe basketball. A place to meet like-minded hoopers and to find new 1-on-1 partners. Our vision was to foster a basketball community.

And right now, more than ever, community means including the generations that come after us. Building a community that doesn’t close in on itself. One that doesn’t turn into a bubble.
We certainly love basketball, but at the end of the day, there’s no basketball without a world to play it in. So it’s critical that we keep sustainability in mind.
And that’s one of the things we love most about the community we’ve built through our vintage store: During the past 8 months of its existence, we haven’t sold a single new piece of clothing. Everything we bought and sold is 100% recycled – sourced from our friends’ basements, flea markets, eBay, and our own warehouses.

And it caught on in the community. Because with the right perspective used clothing can be so much more than just used clothing.
It’s vintage. And to us, vintage items are often the most valuable pieces in our wardrobes. From retro tees, to classic jerseys and vintage varsity jackets – every piece is unique. Things you won’t find on a rack at a conventional retailer.
It’s sustainable. You’re giving a piece of clothing a second life. And there’s nothing more sustainable than making use of what we’ve already got. That’s the beauty of circular fashion and the essence of vintage clothing.
So, when our store opens back up on 22.09.2022 with a whole load of new vintage goodies, you can rest comfortably knowing that each piece is both 100% authentic and 100% sustainable.
But there’s a lot left to do. So, share the message and be part of this community that hopes to promote basketball’s heritage while shaping its legacy today and for the generations to come.
