Le Basket C’est Nous = We Are Basketball

We’ve got love for the game at all levels. Be it women’s basketball, schoolyard basketball, NBA basketball, or local YMCA basketball.

The essence of it all remains the same. It transcends gender, age, and nationality. 

But it thrives on culture. 

That’s why we went out to Paris. To get a glimpse of what basketball looks like in this melting pot of hip-hop, fashion – and most importantly – basketball culture.

We got the opportunity to kick it with real hoopers from all over Paris. And in the process, got to meet unique people, make new connections, and watch some of the best street basketball. 

What prompted our journey, and what we were most curious about was what basketball means to the different people that make up the Paris basketball community. We didn’t find one answer. We found several. Depending on who you ask, basketball can mean so many different things. 

But one thing’s for sure: basketball is much more than a game. Basketball is passion. It’s motivation. It's a community. For some it's an entire way of life. 

As for us? Basketball means everything. What we are, we owe to basketball and its community. What we do, we do because of it. And what we have, we have thanks to it.  

That’s why we’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of and to shape basketball culture. We’re grateful for the city of Paris for showing us love and allowing us to share their stories. 

Rest assured that without the global basketball community, there’s no KICKZ. 

So, when we say that We Are Basketball, we’re not pointing towards our logo. 

We’re pointing towards all of you. 

WE ARE BASKETBALL. And we have you to thank for it.
